Job Description:

The incumbent, as a member of the Immunoassay Development team, will lead assay transference, assay development and/or method enhancement projects on automated instruments. Experience in method integration for automated immunoassay platforms is a requirement.  Work involves verification of product performance and the development of solutions to technical problems. The incumbent must have strong oral and written skills, the ability to work in a multi-functional team environment, and be capable of coping with change. Experience with method integration, immunoassay development and automated instrumentation is desirable. Typical education would be a Ph.D. degree Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology or related with 3-7 years’ experience.  A Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology with 10+ years of experience.

The successful candidate will
•Lead one or more immunoassay development
teams in assay transference to automated immunoassay systems.
•Work with cross-functional project team members to develop product performance requirements.
•Plan and execute experiments by operating automated immunoassay instruments. Must be hands-on, willing to get into the lab to execute
method verification studies
•Perform data analysis, write technical protocols and reports.
•Apply scientific and statistical principles to design, conduct, and analyze multi-variable experiments (DOE).
•Follow all relevant internal and external regulatory requirements
•Perform root cause analysis as part of troubleshooting activities as necessary and implement corrective actions.
•Work with biohazardous and potentially infectious materials
