This person will lead a small team focused on developing standardization strategies for existing products. This includes developing Anchor and Gold Standards and MDPs when not in existence. In addition, this position will focus on modification to the value assignment process to align with new control system requirements. The position will participate in creation and execution of the design of experiments, as well as coordination of data analysis, and writing internal reports and documentation. This person will coordinate and perform material and process validations following written protocols, and prepare validation and/or test results reports. This person will work with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin.
Typical Education: Advanced degree beyond BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry; Masters or PhD degree preferred.
Typical Job Related Experience: 4+ Years in Diagnostics or Related Technical Operations
Specific skills: Candidate must have a good understanding and knowledge of the principles of immunodiagnostic technology as well as experience with diagnostic immunoassays and assay standardization. A demonstrated ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. A strong background and experience with automated immunoassay analyzers and/or ELISA and chemiluminescent technology, as well as, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Minitab. The candidate must have a strong work ethic and be highly motivated to work independently with high energy. The candidate must have excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work as a team leader. The candidate must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to switch priorities to meet project needs.
