Position Overview

Become part of a team that designs and implements a cutting-edge HTML 5 / JavaScript software toolkit that allows customers to embed 2D and 3D Visualization into their own solutions.


We are seeking an innovative, passionate, entry-level Software Engineer to become part of a team responsible for the design, development, and testing of a software development kit used to render and analyze 2D and 3D data.  The selected candidate will report to the software engineering manager and work with a close-knit team to design components and application programming interfaces that contribute functionality to an HTML 5 / JavaScript toolkit.



In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Communicating with technical leadership to understand internal and external customer requirements.

  • Designing HTML 5 / JavaScript software components or application programming interfaces (APIs) that satisfy requirements.

  • Implementing HTML 5 / JavaScript software components and APIs.

  • Authoring internal and customer-facing documentation including, deployment and developer guides, best practices, processes, etc.

  • Authoring and executing unit tests, scenario tests, exploratory test cases, etc.

  • Assisting in build, packaging, and deployment activities.

  • Actively participating in the Agile using Scrum development processes.

  • Providing internal and external customer support as necessary.


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Qualified applicants must possess:


  • BS in math, computer science, or related field.

  • Experience with a formal software development lifecycle process or methodology (Agile using Scrum preferred) – 1 year or more.

  • Experience with HTML 5, JavaScript, XML, C++, and Java – 1 year or more.

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming concepts – 1 year or more.

  • Knowledge of Computer Graphics and related mathematical skills (e.g. linear algebra and matrices) – 1 year or more.

  • Good communications skills.

  • This position will require occasional travel – approximately 1 – 3 times yearly.


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Experience with the Agile using Scrum development methodology.

  • Experience working with a team on large-scale projects.

  • Knowledge of Teamcenter Visualization and/or general 2D and 3D visualization.

  • Experience with mobile application development for Android or iOS platforms.
