Job Description:

Position Summary


As a Field Service Project Manager, you will primarily support projects within the Gulf West Branch in the state of Texas and the candidate work remote within the South East Texas area.

 

You will be responsible for all phases of Field Service Projects, sales, planning/coordination and management for the repair, revamp, installation and modernization of Siemens and non-nameplate equipment.  The field project manager works closely with the client manager, and in many instances, will be the client facing representative during execution of a project.  The PM reviews the specs, RFQ and SOW to bid the project using the D-R Tracker.  PM books the project with PDMT and executes the project through the closing and invoicing of the project following and documenting progress and finances.  The PM takes the lead role on client communications and keeps the Branch Manager and Branch Controller current on progress for each project.  Change orders and extra work are documented and costs are properly tracked using the Job Tracker. Key tasks are shown below in the core responsibilities.
 
Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Willingness to travel up to 50 % and to work OT as needed
  • Ability to effectively work with hourly personnel, customers and internal back office team members
  • Technical problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage projects commercially, from quoting through execution and invoicing
  • Technical knowledge of Rotating Equipment, Reciprocating Compressors, Gas Compressor Engines & Turbines
  • Motivated, dynamic & industrious with "can-do" attitude

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience with project management in rotating equipment field service or related industry
  • Extensive knowledge across the Siemens Product Portfolio
  • Knowledge of the application of above products at customer facilities
  • Proven commercial project management success & petrochemical market knowledge
  • Experience with site management of union and non-union personnel
