PreSales Solutions Consultant  V

To ensure all America’s Zone employees are aware of new opportunities for career growth, below is a new opportunity to join the Digital Enterprise team as a Program Manager/Digital Enterprise Solutions Architect.  We are seeking a strong leader who can harness emerging technology and a broad range of technical resources to deliver a compelling customer experience at our Digital Enterprise experience center in Chicago, while supporting development of other centers.  


The position is based in Chicago or requires 80-90% of time spent in Chicago. 


Position Overview: 

As part of the Americas Digital Enterprise group, responsible for the ongoing development of the demonstration environments at DMDII (our demonstration center in Chicago IL), and other demo locations as they develop.  Ensure that the demonstrations enhance our ability to promote our Digital Enterprise strategy, drive customer adoption of our solutions across Digital Factory Division (DF), and ultimately create customer roadmaps for implementation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

This includes bringing the following to the account teams and Siemens leadership:


·      As overall Program Manager, responsible to develop, coordinate and monitor all technical projects across the demo sites, which will include multiple small projects and large complex projects simultaneously.  Serve as liaison between the “technology” team and sales leadership in order to ensure all expectations are met.  Ensures that projects within the program are completed on schedule.                                                                                                                                                      

·      Establish and maintain program and resource plan for the development of the DMDII environment (and other locations as they develop), with support from additional local team members; use the plan to engage additional resources across Siemens

·      Function as the Solution Architect for the end-end demo environment, setting the vision, storyboard, technical roadmap for all demonstrations in the end to end facility, personally and through leadership and coordination of pre-sales & services resources across DF, local and virtual, and in collaboration with key business leaders.

·      Work in alignment with the DE Headquarters Demo Standards team to both leverage their work and contribute to the global standards demo pool

·      Work with and assist Vertical Presales teams and DFexPL to execute highly effective customer engagements at DMDII; this may include participation in planning through execution

·      Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring and oversight for emerging talent from multiple Siemens BUs and interns, including them as part of the program for solution development as well as supporting customer engagement, with a focus on developing talent to be deployed, after a defined period, in new roles in the company.

·      Work with Presales and Services to ensure knowledge transfer of critical insights gained working at DMDII

·      This is a critical assignment with the highest impact on the design/selling process. 


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

·      Candidate should have ten (10) plus years of successful Services or Presales experience with PLM software and/or MOM software. Prior leadership experience preferred.                                                 

·      Candidate should have proven capabilities architecting and presenting solutions to customers in support of Sales and have experience leading collaborative project efforts without direct authority - this would include organizing and leveraging muliti-disciplined Services and/or Presales resources.                                          

·      Candidate must demonstrate strong understanding of Digital Enterprise Suite with core competency in Teamcenter, Tecnomatix or Simatic IT.

·      Candidate should be willing to travel 15% of time in the continental US, assuming they are based in Chicago.  If not based in Chicago, candidate should be willing to travel 80-90% of time in the continental US.

·      Limited international travel is required for this position.

·      Candidate should have a BS degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent working experience.
