Job Description:

Position Overview
 
As part of the Global Learning Services Desktop Engineering Curriculum Management Team, work with management and colleagues to create high-quality end user training for use in Additive Manufacturing verticals.
 
The individual hired for this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining training and courseware materials for Additive Manufacturing training courses. The role will involve working with subject matter experts to architect curricula, conduct analyses of courseware needs, create courseware content, and update courseware materials, as needed. The successful applicant will also work with sales to provide information about training products and creatively facilitate customers’ learning experiences in classroom and online environments. Excellent communication skills, creativity, self-direction, and a desire to work in a dynamic environment are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad manufacturing engineering role.
 
Responsibilities
 
Design and Plan Learning & Adoption Programs
 
Work within a multiple course developer environment to support the design and development of additive manufacturing and other manufacturing engineering training content
• Engage with Solution and Product Architects to transfer solution knowledge
• Understand learning needs for product based learning, through role assessments
• Leverage Siemens best practices, experience and content to design high quality, standard and custom end user product training, applying adult learning strategies to address target audience needs
• Support development of process based product and solution learning content based on use cases and scenarios as defined by Learning Architects and using style guides to ensure consistency and quality
• Test and maintain training software on Education Services training hardware
 
Deliver Learning & Adoption Programs
 
Contribute to execution of Enterprise Learning and Adoption Programs
• Set up and support learning environment defined by Learning Architects
• Assess users’ readiness to perform the new process at go-live and report to Learning Architect
• Leverage user feedback and assess/leverage to improve materials and delivery
• Support customer key users as they reinforce learning within their user base
• Leverage social collaboration tools to foster sense of community
 
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
 
  • Engineering, mathematics, or physics degree
  • Able to conduct additive manufacturing systems modeling
  • 10+ years working directly with additive manufacturing and other manufacturing engineering processes
  • Able to effectively use PowerPoint for creating visually engaging presentations and materials
  • Able to effectively use Camtasia for creating high-quality instructional videos
  • Training and course content development experience
  • Experience working with curriculum architects
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
 
  • Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics
  • Experience architecting training curricula
  • Understanding of fundamental instructional design concepts including writing performance outcomes and three-part learning objectives
