Job Description:

Position Description
Flender Corporation is currently searching for an experienced Human Resources Professional for its Elgin, IL location.  This position will report to the Human Resources Manager and fulfill a key role in the creation of a full service stand-alone HR Department.  With a client base of approximately 180 employees, including hourly production and a decentralized sales force, this position will provide a wide range of HR generalist support, including Employee Relations, Recruitment, HRIS Administration and Payroll support.  A major emphasis for the role during the first year will be the implementation and support of Workday HRIS and NGA payroll.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate talent acquisition activities to drive timeliness and quality of new hires
  • Partner with managers to drive employee engagement and a high performance culture
  • Implementation of HR activities and projects in alignment with business needs
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on HR services, programs and policies
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Information Technology or related field is required.  Master degree is a plus
  • Strong systems orientation is required and a proficiency with the Workday solution is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience with a focus on HR systems in a small to medium size enterprise is required.  Preferred experience in systems implementation and payroll administration
  • Experience with Benefits Administration.  Healthcare, 401K and other cafeteria plan options.
  • Experience with Workers Compensation Insurance, Unemployment and FMLA
  • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to consult at all levels of the organization
