Job Description:

Position Overview

Be a part of the team that designs and develops state of the art molecular imaging scanners, developing advanced image reconstruction and processing software

 

Responsibilities

As a key member of the Image Formation team, you will be responsible for requirement analysis, detailed specification, design, implementation, documentation and test of software components for SPECT and SPECT/CT scanners. This includes SPECT data correction and reconstruction algorithms. You will be working in collaboration with a cross-functional team involved in the development of SPECT software products.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

Working with the Science & Research team to define and productize advanced image processing algorithms

Working with Product Management and Systems Engineering to assess new image processing technologies and define a productization concepts
Designing, implementing and testing image processing algorithms on high-performance computing platforms
Developing long term architectures and sustaining strategies for a Molecular Imaging image formation platform
A good understanding of the mathematics and physics involved in medical image processing algorithms is desired.
experience in numerical algorithms and code optimization
experience in SW development processes like Agile, iterative development, test driven development
ability to work successfully in international teams
analytical thinking
good verbal and written communication skills
good collaboration skills with a diverse set of stakeholders
experience in image processing and image registration algorithms
experience in data correction and image reconstruction in medical imaging
experience in GPU programming (CUDA, Thrust or OpenCL)
experience in CPU parallel programming (OpenMP, Boost or TBB)
experience in Matlab
experience in developing medical software in a FDA regulated environment

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Qualified candidates must have a good understanding of modern software development processes requiring technical skills in the following areas:

C++, Windows 10, Parallel Programming with CPUs and GPUs, MS Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server.


Additional skills and experience of a qualified candidate include:

Candidates must have at least a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Physics or similar field and preferably 3+ years of experience in numerical algorithms, high-performance computing or medical imaging.
