Job Description:

 
Position Overview:

This position is responsible to grow the Siemens Service business in its Federal Government Installed Base. In today’s healthcare environment, the government is seeking cost effective, high quality service solutions for its installed systems and instruments.

This role is responsible to increase our service business in the government accounts and reports directly to the VP of Sales, Federal Accounts within SHS AM NAM.

 
Responsibilities:

The position will be responsible to develop and implement a business plan to grow service agreement sales revenue, service capture rate, education and consulting revenue in the government space for SHS AM NAM. It also includes continuous monitoring of service delivery to include customer escalations, as well as developing long term relationships with the government organizations involved in the buying process of service solutions. It is also highly sales and customer satisfaction focused and, thus, the expectation is that the employee in this role is spending the majority of time in the field with the customers and the sales team.

 

The role will support government service sales and service maintenance team through

  • identification and implementation of service solutions tailored for the government’s installed base in Siemens
  • direct customer contact and building strong strategic customer relationships especially at the DHA/DLA/Military Services, NAC/VISN, and local VA/Military Hospitals.
  • strategic sales support for the service sales team at the local medical facilities,
  • managing contracting topics including product, pricing and sales positioning of the service solutions,
  • sales package development and roll-out
  • education of sales team on service solutions and government sales process for buying service and customer education.
  • review of award documentation to verify alignment to service quoted.
  • assistance in customer dispute resolutions by indentifying government requirements included in service agreements
 

The role will also work closely with the government contracting team as well as the legal team, the RFP center and the Quote Desk to collaborate on service / education contracting, RFP responses and timely execution of government quotes. In addition, the role will collaborate with Service’s back office support to ensure an efficient and effective handling of the Federal Government Service Business.

 

The role will also be in close collaboration with the service delivery team performing the service at the government’s medical facilities to ensure high customer satisfaction is being achieved and to serve as one of the escalation points within the Federal Government team as needed.

This role will also perform other duties as assigned.
 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Required education is a bachelor degree as well as at least 5 years experience in healthcare. The candidate should have an extensive knowledge of the government buying processes as well as marketing and sales experience for service solutions.

Travel requirement for this position is 70%.
