Job Description:

Position Overview
 
Th IT Application Support Specialist will support our Learning Management System (LMS), produce SQL queries and reporting, manage and update department website (internal/external) and training technologies.  This position reports to the Director of BT University who reports to the Head of Sales Excellence.
 
Responsibilities
 
LMS Support, including:
 
  • Publish Web-based training
  • Upload and test Web-based training
  • Troubleshoot Web-based training issues
  • Perform Technical updates to Web-based training
  • Evaluate requests for data
  • Write SQL queries to retrieve requested training data
  • Develop and implement LMS procedures
  • Develop User Acceptance Tests
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing
  • Level 3/Level 4 End-user support
  • Run existing SQL queries
  • Evaluate and execute data requests
  • Design and Implement SQL queries to retrieve the required data from the LMS
     
Department Web Sites
 
  • Update and maintain all department intranet and internet web sites, including all data uploading
  • Update and maintain all department Sharepoint sites, including all data uploading
 
Technology:
 
  • Research and identify potential learning technologies
  • Develop implementation plans for new learning technologies
     
     
    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
     
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Database Administration or 5 years of equivalent experience required
  • Some limited travel (no more than 10 weeks a year) may be required
  • High Level of proficiently with all Microsoft Office products
  • Detailed understanding of relational databases 
  • Must know how to write complex SQL queries
