This Mechanical Engineer joins a Mechanical Engineering (ME) team which promotes an open and collaborative team culture responsible for the development of innovative market leading molecular imaging systems. The development cycle begins with system concept generation and ends with product sustaining. The ME team utilizes cutting edge development tools, structural and thermal FEA simulators.

+ Ability to lead and operate within a cross-functional team made up of both technical and non-technical team members.
+ Provide complex design concepts, material/design specifications, detailed part and assembly drawing preparation from 3D CAD package (NX), analysis and appropriate follow-up.
+ Provide complex design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.
+ Provide explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of complex specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data.
+ Communicating complex technical and commercial issues.
+ Recommending complex new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet functional requirements.
+ Provide general guidance and/or train lower level support staff.
Education and Experience:
BS in Mechanical Engineering required
MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred
5+ years of successful experience in related field
5+ years structural component design (seismic and other vibration analysis preferred)
3+ years designing in 3D CAD (NX preferred)
3+ years conducting structural and thermal analysis via software tools and hand calculations
3+ years machine design
