What is the Operations Leadership Development Program Internship?

In the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) Internship, you will increase efficiency and sustainability across multiple businesses and learn the daily operations that ensure production goals are met, improvements are made and systems are managed.

 

With Siemens’ team of innovators as your mentors, you will visit facility sites and assist in developing a solution-based plan for improved production.

 

Potential experiences include:

• Manufacturing Engineering; Assays and Instruments

• Process improvement, LEAN or Six Sigma project

• Support of production process; Assays and Instruments

- Assay / Reagent technical problem solving (Chem E, BioMed, Chemistry)

- Supply Chain - Operations

- Project Managemen

 

Participants who complete the internship program will be considered for the Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level opportunities.

To apply for the Operations Leadership Development Program Internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

 

• Majors: BS In Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biomedical

BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Material Science

 

• Education: Current junior or senior undergraduate students pursuing a BA from an accredited technical school, college or university

 

• Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week from May to August.  Strong interest in working in a production environment.

 

• Minimum GPA: 3.2

 

• Relocation and Travel: Must be willing to relocate and travel as required by program

 

• Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required
