Our Tulsa , Oklahoma Repair center is a small fast paced team. We require our machinist to work across a diversified range of equipment. As such a successful candidate will be a fast learner who is capable of work as both a team leader and a team member as required to meet the goals of the service center and client. This position requires a successful candidate to be capable of work day or night shift as the required by customer commitments.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Journeyman Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic
The ability to routinely lift at least 25 pounds, as required to perform essential functions of the position, for up to eight hours
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically, as required to perform essential functions of the position
Experience operating a lathe, VTL, VBM, Bridgeport, surface grinder and/or cylindrical grinder
Must be able to read and use measuring instruments accurately
Able to set turbine and or compressor rotors and components as required for machining.
Must have standard machinist tools.
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to read and follow blue prints
Experience with centrifugal or reciprocating compressors and/or steam turbines is an asset
Position Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct a daily Behavioral Based Audit (BBA) and report any safety concerns observe
Communicate and accurately report to Supervisor
The willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
Maintain good customer relations and promote Dresser-Rand products and services
Verify measurements of other Machinist work to meet ISO requirements
Attend and participate in all safety meetings
Attend and participate in all toolbox meetings
