System Analyst 4

System Analyst for syngo Dynamics CVIS product line

Role Description:

As System Analyst you will be responsible for extending our enterprise cardiology product to meet the needs of customers together with Product Managers and a cross-functional team in agile software development. You will work between Product Management and Engineering to determine the “how” of a solution, ensuring the resulting software will be developed and tested to meet the intent of customer and market needs. The Analyst addresses the agile development teams’ need for real-time input by elaborating on user stories, detailing and expanding specifications, and interpreting product vision.

Key Responsibilities

·         Creates product specifications (inclusive of use cases, activity flow diagrams, screen mockups, identification of data sources, analytics, reporting, and integration requirements), based on customer input for the development of new products or changes to existing products.

·         Creates and ensures features / requirements / specifications are testable and implementable.

·         Assists with testing of features as implemented during the entire life cycle process

·         Assists in designing user interfaces that fit the existing applications and the Siemens UI guidelines.

·         Engages as System Analyst on one or more scrum teams, advising decision making relating to design, implementation, and testability of customer requirements.

·         Assists team(s) in estimating duration of development for user stories, participating in sprint review meetings, and making constant adjustments to fit larger strategic objectives.

·         Engages in progress monitoring, including contribution to project plans and detailed project status reports.

·         Ongoing communication with Product Managers concerning development progress including information about changes which impact next iteration or release.


Key Requirements - General

·         Basic knowledge of the current healthcare environment as well as the changing landscape with healthcare reform (Meaningful Use, accountable care, etc.) and ACC guidelines and standards.

·         Solid knowledge of the Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS) industry and markets required.

·         Experience using, supporting, or developing cardiovascular IT systems is preferred.

·         Recent experience with requirement definition and validation to support product development, including writing logical, detailed and complete product requirements and functional specifications.

·         Conversant with agile software definition and development methodologies, and experience working with multi-site global teams.

·         Demonstrated track record of being a self-starter with the ability to drive topics to completion and a propensity to think outside the box to solve simple and complex problems creatively.

·         Comfort with deep technical details as well as high-level business goals and customer needs

·         Program Management skills including ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, deliver results

·         Excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to translate complex healthcare, clinical, and technical workflow concepts to lay persons.

·         Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, primarily within the USA. Some international travel may also be required.

·         Bachelors degree in technical field.
