Siemens General Motion Control (GMC) Business is seeking an individual to drive market share growth with new products to focused segments. Driven and measured by the strategic development of target market segments, key focused customers and marketing programs and tools of and about associated new products and solutions with the end goal of exponential product unit count/revenue growth. Must be dynamic, accurate, and quality driven with ability to multiply promotional efforts of others through actions and example. This position offers the opportunity to interface with end customers, solution partners, account managers and other colleagues nationally and globally.
We are looking for team-oriented person with strong entrepreneurial spirit and desire to contribute to crafting the direction of a thriving and growing organization. This person needs to have a working knowledge of what is needed and how to apply drives in the pump & Fan marketplace and associated customers with further understanding of water/wastewater and some HVAC associated with like applications.
Accountable for the influence, creation and delivery of all tools, campaigns, programs and customer accounts associated with focused products
Responsible liaison to HQ for CRM topics of focused products to coordinate promotional materials for local use
Provides customer opportunities and coordinates pre-delivery pilot customer project coordination
Assist with strategic sales direction/activities of GMC, - Creates strategy & activities based on market knowledge, Support efforts related to exhibition at tradeshows, Participate in appropriate conferences.
Understand key competitors’ position in the market, Knowledge of key competitors’ products, Communicate key information regarding competition to appropriate personnel, Market share analysis by competitor, Competitor SWOT analysis
Develop and execute marketing strategies for focused product/Segment
Define opportunity, Size of market, Competitive landscape, Market dynamics, Market customer profiles, Market customer drivers
Analyze Siemens product position with our competition (SWOT analysis)
Develop a target channel/solution partner list based on our needs and their capabilities
Provide a formal marketing strategy which includes: Positioning, Branding, Priority channels, Promotion, Specific pricing issues, Communication goals and tactics, Budget, Execution, Evaluation - Identify key core product differentiators (strategic technology).
Develop and provide sales collateral and training which highlights the benefits of using Siemens to control their application. Tie to overall TIA strategy. Deliver same through various programs defined with high level of presentation skills
Develop and implement plan to participate in targeted trade shows and events associated with focused product/segments
Develop and implement plan to get success stories from key customers and drive publishing them in selected publications through MARCOM channels
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
Proven track record of developing business and competitive conversions in the Industrial Automation market.
Must be able to design and execute strategies to take market share from drive competitors. Leverages new and existing resources to prospect, qualify, validate and ultimately convert OEM’s and End Users.
While prior sales experience is not required, a thorough knowledge of customer sales cycle and conversion activities are.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence and persuade through credibility, integrity and professionalism. Strong collaborative approach, with good understanding of when to support and when to challenge others. Excellent Project Management capability with complex / multi-element projects. Show a documented entrepreneurial spirit to drive innovation and market differentiation. High level of business acumen required.
