Job Description:

Overview:
Siemens Industry, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Designer at their Richland facility. The candidate will have the ability to appraise quality, logic and cost effectiveness of their design and drafting work. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to learn complex systems quickly. This person reports to VR Engineering Manager and will have no direct reports.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will assist Voltage Regulator Engineering Department personnel to assure proper execution of the design, compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Requires the ability to create complex parts, assemblies and bills of material. Must be detail oriented and take ownership of projects. Must be able to work independently on projects to troubleshoot technical issues with minimal supervision.
 
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED equivalency is required, Associates Degree or Vocational/Technical Training preferred.
- Experience in a Manufacturing with Mechanical CAD and Geometric dimensioning.
- Experience in mechanical drafting required
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor required.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and capability to promote new ideas and products.
- Proficient with all Microsoft office products.
- Team oriented personality who has the ability to work well by themselves or on a team in an
- Passionate commitment to the company vision.
- MRP system experience required.
- SAP experience is a plus.
