Advanced Software Engineer, Teamcenter ECAD Integrations - Cincinnati, OH

 

Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Software Engineer with knowledge in Electronics and Electrical Design to join our Siemens PLM Team. You will have the unique opportunity to work on the Teamcenter ECAD Integrations

 

You will be part of a highly innovative fast-paced development team, responsible for design and development of Electrical and Electronics Design solutions in Teamcenter and ensuring overall functional quality of released products, solutions and problems.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to, existing and new functions and features. Responsible for ensuring the functional quality of the released product on all required platforms.
  • Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems.
  • Creates documents and executes software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, complicated workflows or multiple product areas.
  • Leads the design discussions by working with wider group of stakeholders and Architects across LCS organization to design solutions for the complex problems.  Skills with high level of proficiency and technical expertise required.
  • Follows the established software development processes and recommended best practices and guidelines.
  • Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into at least one area of the product.
  • Ability to work with customer representatives in resolving issues and break downs

 

Required & Preferred Knowledge/ Skills, Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Electronics, Electrical, computer science or related discipline
  • Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in software development
  • 10+ years of experience in designing and developing Teamcenter solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of  -
      • Mechatronics –  Electronics Schematic, PCB Design, Mechatronics Data model
      • Teamcenter Architecture, data model, FMS, SOA design, Product Structure Modeling, Subscription Manager and Notification Framework
  • Extensive knowledge of BMIDE, ITKs, SOAs, Multisite, TcXML, PLMXML and Closure Rules.
  • 5+ years of experience in Active Workspace Development.
  • Knowledge with Model Based Systems Engineering and Hands on Expertise in all aspects of MBSE solutions in Teamcenter
  • Strong knowledge in Object Oriented principles and Design patterns
  • Extensive experience of C++, Angular JS.
  • Java knowledge and experience is desired
  • Knowledge in XML, HTML5, Java Script is desired
  • Good working knowledge of Mentor Xpedition or similar Electronics Design tools
  • Ability to work with customers on issue resolution and hand holding
  • Experience in architecting solutions for Industry 4.0 with digitalization (twin and thread) aspects.
