Paralegal Job Description

This is a paralegal position within the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Legal Department.  The position provides support to the Legal Department in Orlando.  The Paralegal should have a proven ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.

The primary area of focus will be to support the corporate governance functions of the company and its subsidiaries.  Ancillary duties may include litigation support and support of commercial contracts. 

Responsibilities include:

* Serve as liaison between state registered agents and corporate entities; coordinate and track annual corporate filings; coordinate ad hoc corporate filings as needed; manage payment of invoices; prepare related documents.

* Proactively identify and recommend corporate board action to streamline corporate governance; draft board resolutions; prepare for board meetings; maintain records of corporate board activity.

* Input information into internal databases and filing systems and generate necessary reports.

* Assist with the law firm retention process and law firm relations.

* Prepare non-disclosure agreements based on approved templates and guides.

* Perform legal research, compile and summarize data.

* Act as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and in-house employees.

* Support litigation functions, including those relating to document retention holds and discovery.


* Minimum of 5 years paralegal experience, preferably with substantial experience working in-house with a corporate legal department.

* Graduation from a course of study for paralegals which requires not less than 60 hours of classroom study, preferably one that is ABA approved.

* Must be detail oriented.

* Must be able to follow complex instructions on governmental forms/websites.

* Expert technical skills in MS Office Suite.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and able to multi-task.

* Fluent English speaking and writing skills. Spanish language skills are a plus.

* Florida Notary Public Commission or the ability to acquire one after hire.
