Position Overview

This position supports Siemens immunoassay analyzers located at the Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Walpole, MA facility. This individual must have a strong background supporting medical instrumentation systems; must be disciplined in following written procedures and established documentation practices. This individual must be capable of working with limited supervision and support.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform system installation requirements
  • Provide internal customers with technical support as needed
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and make effective repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities as required
  • Complete documentation requirements for maintenance and repair activities

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 3-6 years’ experience supporting medical diagnostic instrumentation
  • Strong understanding of fluidic systems and electronic controls
  • Must be capable of following written instructions and reading schematics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Scheduled on call support is required
  • Some travel required for instrument training and certification

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Associate degree or 2 year vocational technical training in Electronic Technology or Electro/Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Knowledge supporting Siemens systems is preferred.
