Job Description:

Technician presents in a professional manner and performs service agreement tasks and scheduled assignments to ensure that the automation system is properly maintained and operating correctly. Handles emergency service calls as directed during the day and after hours. Responds to customer service calls (emergency, on-site, or on-line), checks indicated points of trouble, analyzes full requirements of system involved and checks and tests systems components. Diagnoses trouble or defect, determines corrective action and repairs system. Technician performs preventive maintenance and diagnostics on automation system. according to service agreement contracts. Tests and verifies system readings ensuring an optimal system operation. Technician identifies additional chargeable opportunities including time and material work, system upgrades and service contact expansion. Technician completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades as well as, adjustments and calibration on automation systems and components following issued tasking, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Performs system checkout and assists in automation systems startups for service installed jobs.  Technician may coordinate electrical installation with electrical contractor at job site as required. Completes and submits daily written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity. Completes and submits time reports and other necessary information daily. Will work with other branch offices, external service providers, and  Vendors to arrange servicing to resolve issues.  Technician may conduct training and development classes for customers on site or at the branch office.  Technician provides technical support, coaching and direction to end users and field labor when applicable. A Bachelors degree is preferred. An Associate's degree in Electronics or other related field is desired or 5 plus years engineer/service experience. Knowledge of automation systems, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations preferred. Working engineering and programming background preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.  Applicant should have excellent communication and customer relation skills. Ethernet network experience and troubleshooting of networks also preferred. Must have knowledge of computer systems and be able to install operating systems and related software as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Knowledge of BACnet systems desired.

Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.

Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
