Job Description:

Position Overview

 

"Are you ready to support customer projects, break/fix situations and be a customer advocate?"

 

Alternative locations will be considered based on qualifications and experience

Specifically desired location will reside in Eastern Time Zone with Alpharetta, GA most desired.

  • Service Project Managers (SPMs) are the primary point of customer contact for aftermarket and field support.
  • Service Project Managers (SPMs) are customer advocates that will interact with all aspects of Siemens internal teams and departments such as Sales, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing etc…
  • If you are the successful candidate you will report to the New Kensington Customer Service Manager and will be a vital part of supporting the Siemens New Kensington Large Drives customers.  

Responsibilities

  • SPMs Roles and Responsibility:
    • Ensures that order requirements are met with external customers
    • Manages the scope of work to ensure that all deliverables are fulfilled on time and within budget
    • Maintains and monitors project margin throughout project lifecycle
    • Creates and executes the project plan
    • Requests and oversees the project team
    • Oversees project communications (reporting, correspondence, meetings, etc.)
    • Ensures that all Milestone requirements are complete
    • Forecasts (with team) and manages risks and opportunities
    • Manages change orders and claims
    • Coordinates installation, commissioning, and training efforts
    • Verifies, requests, and obtains customer acceptance of the system
    • Maintains lessons learned throughout the entirety of the project
    • Closes the project at completion and archives project files
    • Manages break/fix projects to get a customer’s process back up and running quickly and properly.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business
  • 3 to 5 years of proven of track record with technical customer services
  • Must have technical proficiency specific to MSOffice
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • 10% travel based on customer requested meetings and support

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of project management experience in customer services role
  • Engineering or technical background
  • Industrial manufacturing and process hands on working knowledge (Variable Frequency Drives, PLC & Factory Automation)
  • 4 to 5 years of customer service experience
  • SAP or other ERP applications
