Job Description:

Position Overview


This position will focus on the management of the second shift in the Dimension and Vista Flex (DM/VS) Manufacturing Team. The successful candidate will complete manufacturing process projects and productivity related activities focusing on the Flex Production area. Daily responsibilities will ensure that cost effectiveness, manufacturability, quality, and safety requirements are attained in the production area.



  • Leads the DM/VS Final Product area on second shift (2pm to 10pm)

  • Drives lean manufacturing initiatives as part of the larger Flex Manufacturing Team.

  • Supports new method introduction and technical design changes as applicable to Flex manufacturing.

  • Effectively manages business financial measures; capital utilization, area financial performance supporting business direction focused on high quality low cost products for customer use.

  • Develops area personnel as part of the larger Flex Team

  • Supports the creation of the area annual budget, and SAP data.

  • Operates within the Quality System with  knowledge of regulatory agencies (FDA, ISO UL etc.)

  • Monitors and manages to operational efficiencies and business area plan.

  • Responsible for approximately 24 Operations individuals.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • A successful candidate will have a degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Clinical Chemistry or Engineering disciplines.

  • BS/BA in related field with experience in management or Lean manufacturing techniques.

  • Typically  a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in related fields is desirable.

  • Ability to demonstrate management principles and approaches.

 Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Advanced experience with current Lean Manufacturing techniques.
