Position Overview

  • Servicing all types of Life Safety systems
  • Inspecting Life Safety systems
  • Ability to read and understand plans
  • Understanding of multi-meter, form C relays and low voltage circuits
  • In house and field training will be provided to further your knowledge
  • Reporting directly to the Tech Supervisor
  • Being part of team

Responsibilities

  • Representing Siemens with outstanding customer service
  • Maintaining fire systems
  • Tracing shorts grounds and opens
  • Inspecting systems to all applicable codes
  • Working in small teams performing installations of MAC type projects
  • Reporting directly to the tech supervisor and coordinator when problems are found and follow up visits required

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

·        High School diploma or equivalent required. 

·        1+ years experience the inspection and/or maintenance of Fire Safety Products.

·        Experience pulling fire alarm circuits

·        Ability to read and comprehend a multi-meter

·        State Fire Alarm License (FAL)

·        NICET II (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology) Fire Alarm Certification within 12 months.

  • Ability to be on your feet and climb a ladder

  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing and must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • NICET Certifications
  • FEL License
  • Programming knowledge of various types of fire systems
  • Understanding of how fire alarm interfaces with all other trades
