R&D Technical Lead – Controls Systems Cybersecurity
Alpharetta, Ga


Position Overview
Are you ready for your next dynamic opportunity?  In this exciting role, you will guide and execute the technical development process for solutions developed as part of the ongoing Power Generation Services-Controls/Digitalization Cyber business plan. Experience with industrial Distributed Controls Systems is a requirement, as is advanced knowledge and practical, hands-on experience working with deploying of Operating Systems, Layer 2/3 networking, and security appliances such as firewalls and IDS/IPS. Strong technical writing skills are a must, as the Lead will be required to produce technical documentation as well as review documentation written by others to ensure that it meets requirements.
The successful candidate individual will:
* Consult with the Head of R&D to create development milestones for new and ongoing projects.
* Consult with the Global Sales team and act as a technical solution advisor, helping to create product talking points and sales guide material for deployment globally.
* Work with development teams to create new software and data connectors as needed for projects.
* Work with the Global Solution Architect to develop and build standard deployment scenarios, technical documentation, and configuration files for each product scope.
* Work with the Product Management team to help define the technical boundaries and requirements for new products as they are commercialized.
* Directly create as well as guide off-team development of technical documentation for internal projects, as well as external, customer-facing material.
* Handle incoming feature requests and bug reports, coordinating with Development, Product, and Solution teams to road-map feature requests and bug fixes in future updates.
The successful candidate individual will have experience in:
* SPPA-T3000 DCS (minimum 3-5 years, additional types of DCS experience beneficial)
* Cisco ASA, Catalyst, and iOS devices (equivalent to CCIE or greater)
* Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Windows Server operating environments (equivalent to MCSE or greater)
* Linux (CentOS/Redhat distributions) operating environments (working knowledge)
* Technical writing, both for internal development-oriented individuals, as well as externally-facing customer documentation.
* Technical project design, including writing requirements, topology diagrams, road-map development, etc.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

*Ability to travel up to 25%
