Job Description:

Hardware Calibration Technician


Position Overview:

  • Planning and execution of calibration and repair tasks for customers with hardware maintenance contracts as well as paid repairs in North America.
  • Manage the contents of the hardware service kit in North America. Coordinate repair of content with Siemens Instruments in Breda.
  • Technical support to the Siemens North America team for SCADAS hardware.  


  • (On-site) execution of maintenance tasks for customers with a Siemens PLM hardware maintenance contract (HMC).
  • Preparation of swap modules for customers under Warranty or HMC in case of a defect.
  • Technical support for Siemens PLM Instruments hardware
  • Execution of repairs on Siemens PLM Instruments hardware.
  • Local hardware management.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

·       Associate's or Technical 2-year degree related to Electronic Hardware Repair or Calibration

·       3+ years of experience in electronic hardware repair and/or calibration

·       Must be proficient in the use of MS Windows and Office Applications

·       Knowledge of Analog and Digital electronics (components)

·       Must be able to use T&M (Test & Measure) equipment (Scope, DVM etc.)

·       Soldering skills (electronic components smd style)

·       Repair skills (analytical)

·       Reading electronic diagrams

·       Knowledge of English (word and writing)

·       Mechanical skills (mainframe related)

·       Problem solving skills (application)
