Position Overview
The Data Center National Business Development Manager can be based out of any major city in the U.S. near a major airport.

The Building Technologies division in partnership with the Energy Management Divisions, of Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking a driven, dedicated Data Center National Business Development Manager who is prepared to leverage their own knowledge of the North American data center market growth areas to generate new construction and service sales for both Siemens BT and EM. 
The ideal candidate will be able to support our branch sales teams across our entire portfolio of solutions including automation, energy, fire, security, electrical and mechanical solutions and services with-in the data center market. This entails achieving Solutions’, Service and BPS growth targets across their assigned territories with a primary focus on growing our Siemens market share in the Corporate \ Enterprise Data Center Market Segment.
  • Develop Data Center Sales Champions in each assigned branch to drive order intake for Siemens Building Technologies and Energy Management in the Data Center market. This includes helping them to build customer relationships, helping sales exec's drive opportunities to closure, and maintaining an accurate pipeline across their assigned zones.
  • Take the lead role and ownership of the development of the sales strategies, tools and collateral necessary to grow and drive the Data Center Solutions and Service business.
  • Collaborate with other NBDM’s and Support groups and educate them on the data center specific market and opportunities and partner with them in the delivery of the overall Field Engagement plans.
  • Collaborate and work with other Siemens Divisions in order to provide comprehensive customer solutions across all Siemens’ products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit, Zone, and Branch Management teams in all zones - share leads and help develop strategies to pursue the data center market in their territories across all business lines.  
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking by anticipating future trends through looking outward at the customer‘s market, competition, and alternatives.
  • Effectively manages the buying and selling process by involving a network of key players in each branch to solve customer operational issues to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Leads development and execution of marketing through trade show and thought leadership presentations to market concepts to key decision makers.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience 
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in Sales, preferably in the Data Center Market
  • Exceptional relationship development skills
  • Experience with large customer management and with strategic customer management
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills
  • Experience in strategic business planning
  • Strong financial business acumen
  • Strong background in value based selling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • B. A. or equivalent work experience
