Specific Requirements: This position will support the Machine Tool Segment sales organization, working directly with complex processes, internal systems and providing customer focused logistical solutions. Working in a fast paced customer driven environment, the successful candidate will have direct experience managing end to end, pre and post-sale customer support activities. This role requires very close collaboration with internal resources and account managers to ensure that complete, accurate, technically correct orders are processed in an effective and efficient manner. The candidate selected will work very closely with factory and distribution support personnel, to ensure that the items ordered are shipped correctly and on time. He or she will support other department members to ensure a high level of teamwork and efficiency are maintained within the group. Additional responsibilities include coordination and accurate/timely completion of all billings activity and other departmental reporting as required.
Complete processing of complex customer orders/revisions into SAP with high level of accuracy
Execution of down payment and progress billing
Develop and implement customized logistics solutions
Provide end to end customer support from quote to cash
Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of customer orders
Drive change management and continuous improvement of customer related processes
Achieve financial results through coordination and direction of invoicing
Proactive backlog monitoring, clarification and resolution of complex ERP system issues
Research various internal systems to facilitate BOM clarification and determination
Execute purchase orders to vendors according to customer requirements with strong attention to detail
Determine optimal sourcing strategies
Supplier management focus:
Achieve specified vendor, CRM and Financial KPI targets associated with panel orders
MRP execution and follow through for Elk Grove Village plant
MRBR, YDR3 and workflow queue monitoring and resolution
Develop and utilize presentations skills to successfully promote Siemens over the phone and in face to face meetings
Manage in process and in transit customer and inventory orders to ensure timely delivery, billing and financial recognition
Monitors, analyzes and drives improvement of delivery performance KPIs
Change management of orders, solutions and processes
Communicate sales and inventory activity and work closely with assigned field representatives including account managers, technical teams and regional managers
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a business concentration or accredited business or supply chain certification or equivalent experience.
5 or more years of direct experience in the above outlined responsibilities may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or certification

- Previous international transportation and logistics experience

Job Family Responsibilities:
Complete booking of complex customer orders/revisions to orders. Complete complex sales orders/purchase orders to vendors according to customer requirements. Manage account relationships to ensure timely shipment/billing of equipment. Interface with factory and Product/Marketing groups to resolve complex configurations and technical changes. Evaluate profitability for sales orders in backlog. May determine discount rates applied at time of sale. May complete resolution of issues related to transaction quality. Manage the customer sales support process related to factory tours, product demonstrations or presentations, new product training, trade shows, field sales support, and pricing issues.
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
