Paint Line Coordinator (2nd Shift)


Job Description Overview:

 The Paint Line Coordinator works closely with the Group Lead & Supervisor to fulfill production needs, provides adequate feedback on production requirements, promotes 5's, daily housekeeping with minimum guidance, confirms production orders from SAP and DMM and Perform weekly PM's as needed for the tanks, EV room, and ovens.

    Experience:      Minimum 3 years in manufacturing environment                        

    Skills:   

                Basic Computer skills 

                Organized  

                SAP Knowledge for confirmations and lookup material.                         

    Abilities:       Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push / pull / slide material


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS                                            

    o   Ensure material flow through the line                            

    o   Cover any position in the line                            

    o   Understands and ensures schedule is followed as planned                                

    o   Reports of any shortage to GL or Supervisor to prevent a stop in production                  

    o   Work along with materials and other production areas to receive the right mix of material based on the schedule                        

    o   Supports GL and Supervisor with the cross training activities                            

    o   Back up for Group Lead as needed                               

    o   Realize 5S audits and propose corrective actions to GL / Sup                            

    o   Co-leads the CIP activities / projects                            


    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    Must become respiratory fit tested to spray powder paint.

    1- Must have a High School Diploma or GED

    2- Must have 6 points or less for attendance.

    3- Must have knowledge / experience working in the paint department 

    4- Must be willing to work necessary Overtime.



    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    Able to perform titration training for ISO compliance.

    SAP or DMM experience

    Previous leadership experience.


    JOB SPECIFICATIONS                                   

                Job involves typically working indoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts, occasionally lifting  materials, wearing common safety equipment (e.g. cut resistant gloves and sleeves, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) being exposed to loud noises and the possibility of bumps, cuts, and scrapes.
