Manager Spare Parts and Field Service Support Job Description
Directly responsible for the management of 8 -10 employees supporting parts sales, field service, training classes and the analyzer service repair center. Position is directly responsible for over $20M in global parts sales as well as oversees the project support and invoicing for another $14M in Field Service, Training and Repairs.
Establish department objectives, jointly with his/her supervisor and SUP management team.
Manage the annual operating budget for the team.
Verify department sales reports and productivity weekly/monthly as needed. Analyze reports on sales, expenses, WIP and stock to ensure that profitability and delivery objectives are met.
Work with production, after-sales and systems integration departments to maintain efficient and balanced stock to support customer and Field Service demand.
Handle customer complaints immediately, determine warranty eligibility and return procedure based on Siemens AP policies.
Maintain efficient communications within the department, as well as with other departments. Endeavor to promote harmony and a team spirit with all other departments.
Conduct formal performance evaluations of the personnel in the department. Work with these personnel to set yearly goals and career path opportunities.
Work closely with Affiliates in Germany and Singapore to ensure that parts inventory is available, shipping and invoicing is completed in a timely manner and communications are current.
Work with GC product manager to maintain GC parts pricing is updated and current.
Responsible that the Maintenance Agreement reviews are done time with SUP B/D and the project support and Field Service teams; ensuring all parties are up-to-date with correct billing rates, time frame and renewal dates.

Finance Knowledge: Knowledge of basic finance, forecasting, backlogs, inventory, bookings, sales and cost center budgeting.
Organizational Skills: Ability to arrange thoughts, time and tasks in a structured way.
SAP: Strong SAP skills required, familiarity with ‘service’ module a plus
Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Word, Power Point
LEAN 5S: Experience with Lean, 5S management concept
