Head of Digitalization Engineering

Position Overview:

The Head of Digitalization Engineering will be expected to build up the technical backbone for digital business and new technologies to fulfill and improve the Omnivise portfolio. They will be responsible for software, applications, and platform development based on market requirements. They will ensure Mindsphere integration of gas and power solutions and expand the software business in gas and power. They will introduce, incubate and develop new innovative digital solutions to address business problems. They will be responsible to introduce disruptive technologies that are game changers for the business. They will connect new digital technologies with the other business unit technology innovation groups.

 

In this position, you will:
• Be responsible for the GP Digitalization Engineering
• Ensure development of new solutions for gas and power by adding new DIGI capabilities and developing DIGI backbone for gas and power
• Build up state of the art Data Infrastructure, Platform and Software Development Teams
 
Responsibilities:
• Clear understanding of competitive situation and differentiation in DIGI technology
• Translation of customer value into technical requirements within new DIGI landscape
• Building up new DIGI capabilities to digitize Core and improve current Portfolio
• Drive new thinking and transform the organizational culture
• Ability to lead and manage all aspects of a fully integrated digital product delivery organization
 
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field
• Proven success leading teams
• Clear understanding of competitive situation and differentiation in DIGI technology
• Translation of customer value into technical requirements within new DIGI landscape
• Building up new DIGI capabilities to digitize Core and improve current Portfolio
• Drive new thinking and transform the organizational culture
• Ability to lead and manage all aspects of a fully integrated digital product delivery organization
• Must be able to read, write, and present in English
• Domestic/International travel – 25%
 
Preferred Expertise:

• Master’s degree in business or engineering
• Graduate of Siemens Leadership Program
• Six Sigma/Lean certification
• Bilingual a plus
