The Logistics Specialist is responsible for all aspects of receiving and shipping including domestic and international, worldwide import and export, and shipments between foreign countries. This includes inbound freight/receiving, warehouse control, material distribution in our shop, outbound freight/packaging, review of bid documents and the associated cost estimates.
The Logistics Specialist manages Export Compliance Program (ECC) established by Siemens and relates to the shipments in Rothschild, WI. and Broussard LA. In this roll the ECC is responsible for import, export and inter-foreign country shipments along with the associated documentation.
Must be able to understand the general technical nature of all shipments and develop and use Excel and Word documents.
BA/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required with a minimum of three years of experience.
Candidate must have extensive experience with international logistics, import/export freight management documentation, freight legalization, export license, HTS codes and classifications for goods for import/export and entry document audits, records, retention, etc.
Position reports to the Operations Manager in Rothschild and the position is located in Rothschild, WI.
