Job Description:

Siemens PLM US Talent Acquisition

 

Essential Functions:

Assist the Global Revenue Accounting team in defining policies and

procedures related to contract review and approval and revenue

recognition treatment.

Monitor completion of the quarterly Confirmation of Sales Terms (COST)

process in order to address

revenue recognition risks such as side agreements, channel stuffing,

and cut-off.

Perform the quarterly maintenance VSOE analysis and annual hardware,

training, and services VSOE

analysis in order to ensure Siemens PLM has established a stand-alone

selling price (SASP) for all performance obligations other than

software.

Communicate any VSOE compliance issues to the appropriate level of

management and work with management to ensure an appropriate VSOE

compliance ratio is maintained.

Perform a quarterly review of Fixed Fee Services loss projects to

ensure that losses have been accrued

where appropriate and communicate findings to management.

Provide finance and accounting related input and direction to all

organizations within the company regarding significant changes or

initiatives such as new sales strategies or business models.

Assist the Global Revenue Accounting team in creating educational

material and resenting training's to the field to promote awareness of

revenue recognition rules, policies, and procedures.

Engage with Global Sales & Services early in the sales cycle to ensure

revenue recognition objectives are achieved.

Support the review of large deals to ensure accounting treatment is

appropriate and consistent with accounting policies.

Conduct a quarterly random sample review of small deals in order to

ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied by the Zones.

Support external audit activities during quarterly reviews and year-end

audits.

Align actions with Siemens PLM Zone Organizations and Revenue

Accounting Management.

 

 

In depth knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving

skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands and priorities

Business fluent English

Education and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

Software industry experience preferred
