Siemens Mobility Inc. Rolling Stock seeks a Program Manager - Project Operations to manage, drive, coordinate and track all aspects of the material supply for a large trainset project which includes locomotives and passenger cars.
The main objective of the PM - Project Operations is to ensure the reliable and timely supply of materials to the shop floor which is critical for the overall success of the project. This position will span the main project execution over the 4-5 year duration of the project and include the planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning and customer acceptance phases. The PM - Project Operations will have communication with internal and external stakeholders related to all aspects of the material supply. This positions reports functionally to the responsible Business Manager and operationally to the Project Director.
Track and drive necessary Engineering BOM releases to enable on-time procurement of all required material
Ensure coordination with Customer Services' TSSSA Scope
Drive Procurement to negotiate supply contracts within lead time
Develop logistics delivery plan and ensure this is coordinated with supplier agreements
Ensure material supply is coordinated with the Production work order structure
Ensure adherence to shop floor material delivery dates
Manage and organize material supplies for FMIs / Field Changes
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Ability to lead and coordinate sub-project team members and coordinate across different functional departments
- Capable of developing robust reporting and controlling tools with escalation as necessary
- Excellent technical, oral and written communication skills
- Experience with vehicle project management or manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent
- Required travel: 25% (national and international)

Thorough understanding of the material supply chain and production processes
