Financial-IT Analyst, SMSD - Diagnostics
 
 
Job Description
Financial-IT Analyst within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Finance Department for Diagnostics Business Area (BA).  This position reports to the Senior Director – Operational Excellence Tools.  Maintain and continuously develop automated planning model and reporting tool for revenue key performance indicators.  Provide comprehensive planning, analysis and reporting to provide visibility and transparency to the BA global financial results, in order for the BA to achieve short-mid term financial plans.  Assist in developing new reporting tools and analytical processes.  Communicate with peers and business leaders within and external to the BA.
 
Tasks include:
  • Execute the closing process for revenue key performance indicator (KPI) tool integrating SAP BW, SQL and Oracle databases in an Adaptive Insights (Cloud/SaaS) environment, including model updates and communication with the user community. 
  • Prepare monthly reporting and provide meaningful commentary on drivers impacting financial results and forecast development. 
  • Identify gaps between financial and operational planning processes and collaborate with process owners to improve forecast accuracy. 
  • Coordinate with regional management to continuously update assumptions in the automated planning model and incorporate business trends.
  • Provide training to user community to facilitate tool understanding and adoption.
  • Assist with global operational and strategic planning for the BA.  Implement model for strategic plan in technology solution.
  • Develop and implement analyses, planning models and KPIs for additional functional areas (e.g. business lines, customer analytics, cost, cash conversion cycle, etc.). 
  • Interact with functions (e.g. supply chain, HQ, regional companies, etc.) to collaborate on pipeline of new projects for technological innovation.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
     
    Requirements:
  • 5-10 years Finance experience in a multi-national company preferred; Systems/IT experience a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Familiarity with emerging technology trends in Finance (e.g. digitalization, advanced data analytics, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, etc.)
  • Ability to manage, manipulate and analyze large volumes of data to provide concise summary of findings for executive presentations, as well as granular insights for operating units
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify & solve complex business problems
  • Comfortable in network organization, able to influence peers and stakeholders outside of function and drive culture of excellence
  • Ability to travel: 10%
