Job Description:

Position Overview

 

This position joins a Mechanical R&D team which promotes an open and collaborative team culture responsible for the development of innovative market leading molecular imaging systems. The development cycle begins with system concept generation and ends with product sustaining. The team utilizes cutting edge development tools, structural and thermal FEA simulators, on and off-site testing capabilities and 3-D printing to perform their duties.  This position reports directly to Manager of Mechanical R&D.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide design concepts, material/design specifications, detailed part and assembly drawing preparation from 3D CAD package, analysis and appropriate follow-up.
  • Provide design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.
  • Provide explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data.
  • Communicating technical issues.
  • Recommending new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet functional requirements.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • HS Diploma
  • BSME Sophomore or higher
  • 2D CAD drawing experience
  • 3D CAD modeling

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • BSME Junior/Senior or MSME
  • Engineering Internship and/or Co-op experience
  • 2D CAD drawing (tolerance analysis & GD&T preferred)
  • 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred)
