Prepares domestic and international shipping documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Shippers Letter of Instruction and other documents as required for the shipping of Project Shipments and LCM orders. Organizes and maintains warehouse inventory for efficient material storage and handling; processes transfer orders to production and process of production transfer orders. Accept, count, and move incoming deliveries to the warehouse or specific departments, storage and production access, move material as needed, and process outgoing materials being shipped to customers. Captures relevant data in data processing systems
Organizes and maintains warehouse inventory for efficient material storage and handling; maintains labeling system on each item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items, performs cycle counts.
- Demonstrate mastery assembling of shipping materials, packaging orders to diminish possible damage, receiving and stocking of inbound materials, preparation of shipping labels and preparations of shipping documents.
Make necessary checks and verifications, handle paper work, sign carrier freight bills.
Issues materials, components and supplies to production.
Assists in loading and unloading materials from inbound carriers to be shipped and/or received by various methods including, forklift, hand truck, handling material manually.
- Work with vendors to ensure shipments of outbound products and scheduling of materials is executed
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Data entry into SAP or equivalent, MS Word, Excel programs for recording and/or processing.
Lift up to 50 pounds
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of principles and methods of logistics for the movement of goods domestic and international via ground, air or sea including the relative costs and benefits.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
3-5 years’ Experience in material handling, shipping & receiving.
Extensive knowledge in SAP
