This is a 2nd Shift Position.
To perform all necessary final assembly and disassembly functions to produce or repair reciprocating and rotating machinery. Normal work hours are 3:00pm to 11:00pm.
Receive parts, components and sub assemblies.
Assembles and/or disassembles units according to procedures and maintains specified dimensions and clearances. Operations require drilling, tapping, cleaning, bluing, scraping, doweling, studding, leveling, aligning, and fitting or parts and sub assemblies, and the checking of clearances and fits.
Set units on base plate and align with driver and installs couplings.
Makes corrective action as required. Makes after-test disassembly and checks. Inspects as required.
Prepare and perform hydrostatic tests as required.
Prepares unit for shipment.
Use floor controlled cranes, performs crane hooking as required.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Candidates must achieve a passing score on the TABE test issued at One Stop. Call 716-373-1880 to schedule an appointment.
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Must pass our basic mechanical aptitude test given on-site at Dresser-Rand.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis throughout the day.
