Job Description:

Position Overview
 
 The POC Informatics Specialist (POCIS) is responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to provide and support  pre-implementation planning, initial installation, setup, connectivity, testing, bringing deployments live, and forecasting completion of projects for Siemens' POC INF data managers.  The POCIS will possess fundamental to advanced knowledge of assigned POC INF product lines.
 
Responsibilities
 
The POCIS is the team lead of assigned projects and may function as a project manager.  The POCIS is responsible for project completion forecasting, ensuring best practices for POC INF implementations are met by consulting with project stakeholders, supporting the sales process, assessing customer network readiness, providing peer consultations, guiding customers towards supported workflows, supporting project test and validation cycles, and rendering post go live support for a limited monitoring period.  Travel may be required.


 Familiarity with Virtualization technologies, Windows Server operating systems, Windows desktop operating systems, database management technology – SQL Management Studio experience preferred
• Demonstrated applied knowledge of networking and device connectivity
o TCP/IP
o DHCP, Static IP, Routing
o Serial and Ethernet connectivity
o Firewall and NAT
o Familiarity with the OSI model is a plus
• VISIO experience a plus
• A+ certification a plus
• Net+ or MCSE a plus                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  • Prior experience in medical technology, middleware, or clinical device connectivity preferred
