Field Service Technician 4


COMPANY:                         Siemens Medical Solution USA, Inc.


DUTIES:                               Develop, install, test, calibrate, operate, maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, electrohydraulic, and electronic measuring and recording instruments, apparatus, and equipment such as capital medical equipment. Service Angiography Products, Nuclear Medicine diagnostic imaging products (MI), Radiation Therapy Linear Accelerators (OCS), Diagnostic X-Ray Systems (XP) Products, DICOM Networking, remote diagnostics and provide Technical Support for both customers and engineers at sites in Southern Nevada, Southern California and Southern Utah metropolitan areas and occasionally at customer sites nationwide. Utilize complex calibration tools and service test equipment including voltmeter, ohmmeter, network analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Gauss Meter, high voltage probe and propriety software to perform routine service, modifications and preventative maintenance. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers. Lead complex equipment installations, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and refurbishments. Lead complex product and applications training for customers. Guide complex maintenance on tools and test equipment, and complete documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. Lead complex service or systems calls and interfaces with both internal and external customers to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution. Guide assessment of the most complex installation and service of product/equipment performance based on field support data and design modifications or improvements.


REQUIREMENTS:             Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above-listed fields and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Prior experience must include: testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment; AX Systems service; Nuclear Medicine diagnostic imaging product Service (MI); Radiation Therapy (OCS); X-Ray Systems Service; Dicom Networking; remote diagnostics; and providing Technical Support for both customers and engineers.  Prior experience must also include utilizing complex calibration tools and service test equipment including the aforementioned items. Approximately 60% travel to customer sites in Southern Nevada, Southern California and Southern Utah is required. Tele-commuting permitted when not at customer site.


OTHER:                                 Huntington Beach, CA   40 hours/week; $90,251/year.
