Job Description:

Position Overview

The Project Controller is responsible for all commercial issues related to customer orders received.  This position will be responsible for reviewing new orders received from either third party customers or other Siemens affiliates.  The responsibility of the Project Controller is to book the order in SAP (either PS projects or SD module).  This includes updating all bill plans, planned costs and maintaining manufacturing dates.  The Project controller will work closely with Sales, PM, Mfg, Logistics and Procurement.  The Project Controller is responsible for all forecasting related to revenue/margins/cash flow and margin analysis through project execution.  The Project Controller is the commercial partner to the Project Manager and is responsible to help drive positive change and favorable margin performance.

 

 

Responsibilities

*Perform monthly financial forecasting, controlling, and margin analysis and ensures compliance with Siemens FRG and local GAAP requirements.
*Complete/update monthly customer billings and aid in customer collections, if necessary
*Interface with external customer on project progress and any commercial issues.
*Ensures efficient communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
*Complete monthly projects reviews and analysis for Siemens management
*Complete booking process of orders in SAP and manage through project execution and completion.  
*Working daily with other siemens departments (project mgmt, procurement, logistics and etc) to complete tasks needed to complete customer deliverables.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

*Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field
*3-5 years experience, preferred
*Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
*Independent worker who excels at follow through.
*Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast paced environment
*Must be able to work project teams supporting multiple projects and project managers
*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally between departments
*Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
*Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Knowledge and understanding of GAAP principles
*Excellent time management and organizational skills 

*SAP experience preferred
