Position Overview


The Ann Arbor office of Siemens Healthcare has an R&D internship position open for the summer of 2019. The Ann Arbor office produces the syngo Dynamics cardiology product. Syngo Dynamics is an enterprise software solution product that has applications that operate on multiple hardware devices ranging from dedicated high-end PC’s, laptops and mobile tablets.

The main purpose of the internship is to assist the cardiology software development team in the reduction of friction that slows an Agile development organization. The intern will report directly to the Sr. Manager of R&D and have the opportunity to interact with software development engineers, architects & clinically experienced product managers in the position.Responsibilities


 The intern will gather data, analyze it and implement solutions to reduce or eliminate the top impediments found within the Agile sprints of the development organization.


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


The following knowledge/skills, education, and experiences are required to be considered for this position.

  • Upper level undergraduate or graduate level engineering or computer science course work
  • Working knowledge of MS office applications with emphasis on Excel and power point
  • Ability to program in C++ or C# & experience with .NET, Java and HTML 5 are required
  • Limited (less than 5%) travel may be required
  • Windows and scripting language knowledge is a benefit


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


Students with a Bio-medical back ground are preferred, but not required to be considered for this position. Knowledge of cardiology, anatomy and physiology would be helpful. Software development experience, especially test driven development.
