Job Description:

The Business Development Manager – Ultrasound Customer Services will have responsibility for commercially incubating new service solutions within the Siemens Healthineers Ultrasound installed base.  This may include offerings in Ultrasound Transducer Service, Education, remote service, customer self-service, general professional services, and new business models, etc. This position reports into the VP, Customer Service, and will play a critical role commercially incubating new service solutions.  The Business Development Manager will sit between the commercial sales team, regional business managers, product management, and solution partners to execute plans for early stage solution pilots within our customer base.  The business development manager will partner with local service sales teams around the world to develop and drive new service solutions. The Business Development Manager must be very comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the uncertainty of newly developed products, solutions, and services, and must be an advocate for these offerings in their early stages to ensure future commercial success.



·          Validates strategic value proposition with customers for new portfolio offerings

·          Responsibility for certified transducer services offerings

·          Owning and driving the strategic Hoshin Kanri process for CS US according to the HPS (Healthineers Performance System)

·          Global development of new service sales channels

·          Achieves business targets for newly developed service solutions with a focus on successful adoption and structured transition to the regional organizations

·          Be an advocate for the successful adoption of newly developed service solutions

·          Maintain strong relationships with both factory/headquarters teams and commercial sales teams within the regions

·          Develop and maintain close relationships with important accounts across region

·          Responsible for developing business plans and forecasting for new service offerings

·          Participates in strategy development and assessment of organic/inorganic growth opportunities


Required Knowledge and Experience

·          BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas

·          Has previous successful experience launching new medical device service offerings

·          Typically 5+ years of successful experience in a directly related field or headquarters experience in modality or equivalent

·          Ideally 3+ years sales and clinical experience

·          Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills

·          Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking required

·          Has a high tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity

·          Capacity to manage cross functional initiatives

·          Effectively manages and resolves conflict

·          Relentless customer focus



Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·          Experience in healthcare segments preferred
