Job Description:

Technical Support Engineer
Specific Requirements
Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking a highly experienced individual for a position as a Technical Support Engineer located in Wellsville, NY. SGT is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.We are seeking a self-driven individual to provide Technical Support for the Wellsville, Burlington, Trenton turbine fleet. This role, as a minimum, is expected to perform the activities such as:
  • Interface with customers, service personnel, and sales in the resolution of field issues.
  • Interface with service personnel in the resolution of service shop issues.
  • Support Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Project Managers as a technical resource.
  • Ensure field design changes are documented for future reference
  • Overtime to meet needs. Can expect calls on nights and weekends
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action on non-conformances
  • Assist in processing warranty claims

Additional responsibilities include performing and/or leading the following activities:
  • Research records in order to drawings as necessary to Manufacturing, SCM , Service Personnel  and Service Centers
  • Interface with Engineering for support to resolve technical issues. 
  • Interface with Vendors as necessary to resolve technical issues.
  • Be an “on-call” resource / point of contact.
  • Track and report technical support issues to management. 
  • Provide commissioning technical support
  • BS degree in Engineering  or Equivalent job experience
  • 8 – 10 years of experience
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize work and multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work well in both a team setting and independently.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and motivated to drive change and foster an environment to help achieve business results.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management both orally and in written form.
  • High level of competency in all Microsoft Windows products
  • Expected travel is  approximately 10% of the time.
Security Clearance:
Candidate must be a US citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information if required at a later date.
