Job Description:

Position Overview:


The mission of the Innovation group is to find or create innovative new technologies and intelligent products, evolve, evaluate and drive them into our Service Business for increasing efficiency, profitability and growth opportunities. The team is responsible for establishing innovation network with external partners such as universities, research facilities and start-ups to identify, develop and drive innovation topics that show a high potential for the Service Business.

 

The Innovation team is also responsible for promoting and shaping collaboration between innovative minds within our organization and help foster innovation within the Service Business.

Responsibilities:

Interns of all levels will work as part of a larger team to provide support for team responsibilities such as:

• Contribute in developing feasibility studies and business cases to support innovation ideas/new technologies from conception to implementation
• Assist with data analytics projects including organization and project set-up
• Assist in developing methods and tools for idea generation and their maintenance
• Pilot project deadlines and deliverables, and participate in internal/external communications
• Challenge organizational norms and capabilities to consider new and different opportunities, approaches, and methods
• Work alongside full-time employees carrying out various business functions
• Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of meetings
• Database entry and maintaining it up to date
• Weekly reports as requested

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience:

• Sophomore or Junior in any of the following majors; Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering, Data Science (IT), Computer Science
• Strong Technical/Analytical Capability
• Experience with PC-based software packages for word processing, presentation (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
• No travel required

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to multi-task
• Basic Gas Turbine knowledge
• Self-starter and strong team player
• Organized and results oriented driven
• Detail oriented and good organizational skills
