Senior Manager Production Engineering

This is a role well suited to an ambitious technically strong individual, with strong people leadership skills who is looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior Manager of Production Engineering, you will be responsible for:

  • You will manage a team of 10 engineers – Focused on driving engineering change solutions into production via agile management

  • You will be the voice of supply chain manufacturing – working closely with R&D, Procurement, Product management, Customer service, and other core partners

  • You will be a change agent who drives a continuous improvement culture within the engineering and manufacturing teams – to ensure we deliver on our commitments to quality, cost, and production volumes

  • You will be responsible for identifying core solutions to complex cross functional problems – working to remove barriers and drive systemic solutions

  • You will mentor and develop your team – to drive the organization forward with a strong problem solving and solution orientated focus

 

 

This position is best suited for you if you are familiar/strong with following skillsets, and would like to further develop and enhance your career with Healthineers

  • You have exceptional organizational skills and have project management experience
  • You have a strong understanding of manufacturing with in a medical device company or regulated industry
  • Experience managing and driving a team of engineers – with a heavy focus on design change management implementation – knowledge of change management systems
  • Lean six sigma training – driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation and results
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written – able to communicate and resonate with all levels within an organization
  • Superb problem solving and root cause analysis skillset – with an ability to coach and mentor individuals in that arena
  • History of working with suppliers to identify solutions to complex problems

Required skills to have for the success of this role

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 8-10 years engineering experience medical device manufacturing, 5 years management of people
  • Willing to travel up to 15%
  • Excellent computer / systems knowledge – including SAP
  • Strong understanding or FDA regulations - helpful
