This position within the Digital Exchange Product and Program Management team represents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within a fast growing business and help shape future of business transactions. The Digital Exchange is Siemens’ online marketplace that enables our customers to discover and order digital products and services from Siemens and our partners.
A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, as well as strong business acumen and customer obsession. Additionally they have the ability to define visionary, ground breaking products based on customer needs, the desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Candidates should have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional specifications and user stories, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection. The Product Owner role is a broad one. We need business owners who can scale in perspective from strategic vision development with direct interaction with the senior leadership team to tactical product development and sales execution.

They are responsible for building business and pricing models, identifying bold moves to grow the business in current and adjacent markets, representing products to customers and executive leadership, and are the overall business owner of the product.  We value product owners who want to sit with the developers and dig into the details as owners of the service where we define, develop, and ship new services and features in periods in a continuous delivery model. We function as a single team working together to deliver customer success.

Responsibilities

•Successful Product Owners will work directly with customers and partners directly to identify unmet needs and will work with engineering to define creative solutions that deliver an excellent customer experience.
•Define product strategy, get buy in from relevant stakeholders and work with the team to prioritize work to deliver upon that strategy
•Collaborate with partner teams to define deliverables, roadmaps, and accompanying documentation for projects and programs
•Anticipate bottlenecks, identify opportunities, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business and user needs versus technical constraints
•Clearly and effectively communicate with technical owners, product managers, and upper management
•Drive process and tooling improvements to increase visibility, throughput and output quality.
•Encouraging risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit while identifying interdependencies between concurrent projects to prevent downstream problems 

Requirements
•BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (MBA is a strong plus)
•3+ years of relevant work experience in Product Ownership
•Experience with an Agile development context
•Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules
•Superior verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications
•Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills
•Analytical acumen, and comfort generating and evaluating various forecasts, metrics, and analyses.
•Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets
•Ability to proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolve issues that sometimes cross departmental boundaries
•Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills
•Ability to interface with internal and external customers of varying technical abilities
•Design thinking and business modelling experience
Preferred Skills
•Broad technical breadth and depth including web services and back-end application infrastructure
