The individual will be responsible for driving service by request customers into planned maintenance agreements and converting those customers into multi-year service contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Salesperson sells into a large instrument installed base by pro-actively contacting customers by phone/email to identify needs, quote proposals, price stand-alone service contracts, and close business to successfully meet revenue targets. These resources coordinate predominantly with the area service teams to prescribe and close the book of business across respective regions. In addition to normal quoting, the contract sales require up front research before each opportunity can be pursued. Sales process focuses on two areas: 1) quoting customers currently listed as “service by request” to capture a planned maintenance agreement; 2) converting those customers into a standalone service contract. Reps will own a designated territory with an assigned quota around opportunities within that territory. Reps are required to report and maintain their funnel/pipeline in their “CRM management” tool around his/her territory. Rep will also be responsible for ensuring we have a Purchase Order upfront and for entering the plan maintenance notification into SAP.
HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s or an Associate’s Degree is preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
Specialized sales training/certification is preferred. Up to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in healthcare.
Direction of Others:
May provide general guidance to others and train lower level employees.

Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.
