Siemens Industry is looking for a Production Supervisor for our Pomona, CA factory. Our growing facility has more than one hundred and thirty employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for the western United States market. Our operations include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly and test. The position is responsible for leading our assembly and fabrication functions to achieve the desired safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory performance. This role is responsible for both shifts of operation and will work a staggered shift, starting between 10AM and 12PM.

- Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas - work for continuous improvement
- Maintains work flow by monitoring process, observing control points, eliminating bottlenecks and facilitating corrections to manpower delineation
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, displays and progress report outs
- Ensure effective employee relations by providing feedback, coaching, and development (cross training) Resolve employee issues through problem resolution
- Maintain working relationship with union by following terms of collective bargaining agreement .
- Maintain accurate production floor inventory levels
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping
- Procure and maintain production floor supplies
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling and analyzing performance records and related data
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree is strongly desired, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and directly related work experience will also be considered
- 3 Years' experience in production supervision
- Organization skills and willingness to assume accountability of plant practices
- Lean manufacturing concepts and principals
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and capability to promote new ideas.
- Analytical thinking combined with conceptual and organizational abilities.
- Team oriented personality who has the ability to work well by themselves or on a team in an international environment.
