Siemens Healthcare DX, Elkhart Facility


Department:    Maintenance - Facility

Classification: Instrument Mechanic/Electrician


Position may be located at Elkhart and/or Mishawaka facilities. 


Qualifications: Electronic Engineering Technology Associate degree preferred, Journeyman License, 8 years experience.


Perform the following duties:


  • Fabricate, maintain, install, repair, calibrate, assemble and inspect pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic recording, regulation and or indicating instruments, equipment and communication systems, and calibrate Laboratory equipment using calibration data base.


  • Maintain, repair, calibrate, install, fabricate, and inspect computer software and interface equipment utilizing their journeymen skills.


  • Work with material such as: wire, pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic components, tubing, plastic and glass used in connection with instrument devices.


  • Use electronic component checks, various types of test instruments and devices such as manometers, ohmmeters, volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes and gauges.


  • Work from drawings, repair and operating instruction manuals, written and oral instructions.


  • Maintain, repair, and program industrial programmable controllers. Replace control circuits for input and output modules on PLC’s. Trouble shoot PLC’s, Drive Systems, and other control systems through PC based software.


  • Assist Power Service Operator Classification with mechanical repairs according to the Johnson Controls MetaSys system and respond to local alarms.


  • Assist in training apprentices and other trades.


  • Provide assistance to the any other trade when directed by management.


  • Maintain 5S standards in all working areas.


  • Perform any and all duties assigned by supervisor.
