Job Description:

Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics is seeking an experienced Facility Services Technician to join our Facilities team at our DFW Airport (Irving) location. Responsible for repairs and maintenance of three (3) buildings within our operational area. The Facilities Technician participates in semi-complex inspection of facilities and evaluates related operational, environmental, and safety issues and procedures. 
 
Responsibilities:
Supports internal and/or external resources to develop facility layouts/specifications or participates in facility-related programs/processes.  Participates in making recommendations for facility-related remodeling and/or upgrading.  Supports service calls/requests regarding semi-complex maintenance activities or other facility-related procedures to ensure completion. 
Participates in work environmental studies (lighting, air circulation, industrial hygiene, etc.).  Supports general management in developing/implementing semi-complex maintenance, rework and repair strategies and implementing new procedures.


Job Duties:
* Maintains and repairs facilities and equipment, e.g. electrical, HVAC, sanitary, or janitor facilities as a single point of contact at a site.
* Structures, decides upon plans and coordinates required activities and resources.
* Completes protocol and facility inspections.
* Performs monitoring and scheduling facility-related activities, and service/request calls.
* Completes maintenance activities and incidents reports and documentation.
* Cooperates with external service provider staff.
* Maintains administrational contacts to local relevant authorities.

Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree or 5+ years of vocational technical training preferred.
HS diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a facilities technician role within a large manufacturing facility.  Minimum of 2-5 years of HVAC experience.
Working knowledge and experience of electrical, plumbing and other repair equipment is required
Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented with a strong awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Vocationally trained positions need high degree of practical experience and theoretical understanding to perform complex tasks in the related field of work.
Must be able to perform troubleshooting and repair of routine and complex systems within an office and warehouse facility
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
Generally, 8 + years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful
demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge.
